BCC provides leadership, guidance, and assistance to schools and teachers with concerns about students served in their special education programs. Please email or call BCC before an issue becomes a problem in your district.

Director of Special Education - Molly Lubbock

Molly is available for answering questions on any special education topic. She oversees the daily operation of the Brush Country Co-op and works to keep districts in compliance with all special education issues. Molly is the main contact for diagnosticians and speech therapists. All requests and referrals for related service assessments require her approval. Contact Molly at ext 1121.

Licensed Specialist in School Psychology - Paula Lyssy

Paula performs psychological work in assessment, behavior management, and counseling for students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems.  Paula guides assessment staff about the procedures and the documentation necessary for psychological and autism appointments. Diagnostician/Program Compliance - Carissa Calderon

Carissa is available to our member districts to assist with the full individual educational assessments of children within the co-op. She works with a team of school counselors, social workers, psychologists, teachers and parents of the children to understand areas of needed improvement, provides a diagnosis of the conditions that may be affecting the children. Carissa also provides recommendations to help with their learning development. Contact Carissa at ext 1119.

Instructional Coordinator/Transition Specialist/CPI Instructor - Lisa Lara

Lisa is available to all BCC districts to answer questions on any special education topic. She is the direct contact for SuccessEd, Goal Book IEP training (group and individual), and instructional support. She conducts classroom visits and provides written documentation of information that is shared with the teacher, principal, and BCC director, and also provides training for CPI certification. Lisa is a contact for State Assessment and Student Success Initiative and works directly with member districts' secondary special education teachers, counselors, and assessment personnel to develop Vocational Transition Plans to prepare students for post-secondary experiences and ensure compliance. She is available for special education trainings at any of our districts or campuses. Contact Lisa at ext 1113.

Administrative Assistant - Lori De Leon

Lori assists the special education director with the daily operation of the Brush Country Co-op. She receives district requests to attend workshops or travel reimbursement. Lori keeps track of OT, PT, Behavior, Social Worker, and Diagnostician testing assistance requests as well as the psychological and autism requests. She is responsible for requisitions, invoices, and billing for contracted personnel and district staff members. Contact Lori at ext 1121.

SERS Clerk/Receptionist - Yvette Charles

Yvette receives approved requisitions from the director and marks and distributes materials once received. She will answer your questions regarding purchased items or warranties on purchased items. She will provide an accurate inventory list and track all materials purchased by BCC. She assists Lori with duties required for the daily operation of BCC. Contact Yvette at ext 1112.
